Welcome to the YOGA Loft Our desire for you in our classes and workshops is a safe, supported practice with emphasis on individual needs. We take our practice seriously, but never so seriously that we dont have fun along the way. Please feel free to ask questions about anything regarding your practice or to make the studio a comfortable, safe space in which to experience Yoga with ease and support. New student guide: Arrive a few minutes early so you can be more settled in before class begins. Enter the studio quietly. Others may be set up and already centering themselves for their practice. Remember to sign in for every class. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. While a large meal is not a good idea prior to class, a small snack will provide you with some energy. Notify the teacher of any injuries or medical conditions. Please turn off your cell phones or other electronic devices. Strong scents can be offensive whether perfume/cologne-based or "natural". Consider bringing your own mat. It is more hygienic. We recommend if you are a true beginner to attend the "Beginning Yoga" class. You can also consider scheduling a private session with one of our instructors if you prefer learning in a one on one setting. Tomorrow the body you wake up to will be your own, not the instructors or the person on the next mat. Your body is your best teacher. Listen and it will tell you when to pause, go deeper or release from a pose. Help us stack and put away mats and props after class. Save loud conversation for outside the studio. Leaving quietly can help you take the effects of your practice easily out into the world |
